what I can do with these small pencils?
I’m one of the last people within my company who still uses pencils. Since I use them often, I throw a lot of small pencils away. The lengths vary from five and half inches to four inches.
I was wondering if there was an organization that collects used office supply. Sometime ago I heard if a group of kids collecting slightly used school and office supplies for the needy. Like for kids who are home less but still go to school.
Does anyone know what I can do with these small pencils? I would hate for them to go to waste when smaller hands might get some use out of them.
Check with your local grade schools and if they don’t seem to want them, talk with their art teacher. Art teachers are usually tapped in to community projects like you mentioned or will come up with a use for such items. (Our art teacher took tissue paper roll centers and paper towel centers and did projects with them, also old crayons, liquid laundry soap lids… the list goes on.)
